Fiesta of Outrageous Imaginations

Where do I begin with describing this wild place with outrageous imaginations!?

In Bogotá there's a place that could be on top of the list of the craziest restaurants/bar to go in the world. It's one of those places where all your friends plan on going for a casual lunch or dinner and then it turns into a wild night you may or may not remember. The imagination is so wild that you feel drunk before you ever even start drinking. The place is called Andrés Carne de Res, there are two different main locations, one in Bogota and the other in a city outside of Bogota called Chia, and there are also many “Express Andrés” all around Bogotá.

The one in Bogota is called Andres D.C., which is 4 or 5 levels of insane madness, I have been there many times but it's so big it's easy that everytime I go I still get lost, promise this has nothing to do with the drinking (even though their drinks are amazing!).

Andrés is a very popular place, so there's usually a line to go in and while you wait, you are welcome with people dressed up in funky outfits and dancing in a hilarious way. These are the same people that as you walk by they make sure to give you a tequila shot. Once you get inside the first thing you notice is the eclectic style and the bedazzled cows. They usually have reggaeton playing or a good mix of music. This was the first Andrés,I always went to and I always am sure of having a great time!

This past weekend I just got to experience the other Andrés Carne de Res in Chia, what an experience! This one is more in the country side of Colombia, so it's not 4 floors high, but it is 2 blocks wide! I was surprised how big it was! They have a restaurant and dance floors on one side and then you cross the street and the adventure continues with more places to eat and children's play area with a rock climbing wall! They had people dressed up as fish acting like they were swimming through the restaurant and of course if you are under the sea with fish swimming around, you got to have the snorkelers. They were so hilarious, acting like they were taking photos of us as if we were the strange creatures underwater! There were also magicians going around to each table, impressing us with their card tricks! They even have face paint for all ages or else that's how I took it, so of course I had to get my face painted (Check out the pictures)!

One sentence that I can use to describe this place: it's like walking into a children's cartoon full of wild imaginations. The whole time I just feel like a kid in wonderland, watching all the hilarious people going by and laughing uncontrollably. Plus I have to restate, the drinks are very delicious and make you feel like a kid again, just with alcohol included. Every time I go I get these drinks that are so dangerously tasty, it's like an adult slushy, so fruity!

I was fortunate enough to meet the mind behind all of this, the owner (Andrés)! What an amazing imagination he has that he brought to life! I would like to thank you for the unforgettable experience each and every time I visit Andrés!
